The 34th issue of RS Transactions have been published. The RS Scientific and Technical Council (STC) annually publishes the results of its research on enhancement of safety and environment protection standards.
On 19 December 2011 Russian Maritime Register of Shipping held the annual meeting of the RS Scientific and Technical Council (STC) Presidium. The leading scientists and experts of maritime industry took part in the meeting. The STC members summarized the 2011 research results and prioritized future developments.

An agreement between RS and STX Offshore & Shipbuilding shipyard (South Korea) on the classification of two new LNG carriers was signed in late November 2011.
