Classification and Technical Survey of Sea-Going Pleasure Boats

RS has developed and published the Rules for the Classification and Technical Survey of Sea-Going Pleasure Boats.

The Rules are based on the RS experience in survey over passenger ships of various dimensions operating in restricted areas of navigation.

The present Rules apply to enclosed pleasure boats with length not more than 24 m, which carry more than 12 passengers. The Rules establish technical requirements for the structure, machinery installations, systems, equipment and outfit of pleasure boats.

Upon the ship-owner's request the RS will classify pleasure boats, exercise the technical survey and issue necessary classification documents as well as documents, which certify the seaworthiness of the ships.
